249 billion reasons to be tagged

There are 17 million disabled people in the United Kingdom, with an estimated combined spending power of £249 billion, which is known as the Purple Pound. Any businesses that are inclusive and welcoming to disabled people can tap into this revenue stream and increase their turnover.

Under the Equality Act 2010, disability is recognised as a ‘protective characteristic’ and businesses have a legal obligation to ensure their venues and services are inclusive and accessible to all. It is important to acknowledge that improving accessiblity is not just the responsible thing to do it’s also the smart thing to do.

TAG Your Business for £49

We will ‘tag‘ your business, if your venue or services are inclusive and welcoming to disabled people. Businesses will then be listed on The Accessible Guide.

All businesses must meet our access requirements to be tagged. For businesses that provide toilet provisions, there must also be an accessible toilet in order to be tagged.

We can tag a host of different businesses and organisations. From hospitality businesses, retail outlets and office space, the list is endless.

Charities & Not-for-Profits

We tag organisations that provide support and activities for disabled people. To be tagged as a support organinsation, there is a one-off fee of £35.00, and organisations can add their top 3 social media channels.

Showcase Your Events

All businesses and organisations that are included on The Accessible Guide can add events to their profile, it is a great way to showcase what’s happening and advise how disabled people can access the events.
