We are delighted to announce that we have secured funding from The National Lottery Community Fund for our new AI project, don’t worry though, the robots are not taking over! Our Advance Inclusivity project will allow us to make some exciting changes to our platform as well as give theaccessibleguide.com a fresh new look.
It has always been our ambition to grow our platform and the funding will allow us to include a host of new businesses and services to The Accessible Guide. Our company was founded and is managed by disabled people with lived experiences of exclusion and our objectives are to innovatively use digital technology to create genuine opportunities for inclusion and reduce the barriers to inclusion that disabled people face on a regular basis. Earlier this year we announced that we now welcome businesses from across the United Kingdom to be included on The Accessible Guide and the funding will help us do just that.
As an organisation, we recognise the importance of working in collaboration with businesses to support them to become more inclusive and welcoming to disabled people and it is important that businesses know we are not here to catch anyone out, we are here to offer guidance and support.
In the coming months, regular visitors to theaccessibleguide.com will visibly notice the changes we will be making and the new business categories that will be included. It is another exciting step forward for our company and we will not be resting on our laurels. Behind the scenes we are working on more initiatives that we will be introducing in due course, that will help us create more genuine opportunities for inclusion.
