About.

53two is a theatre and arts charity in Manchester city centre. Located in the Grade II listed arches under Manchester Central Convention Centre the venue has a theatre, cafe, bar and event space. As a registered charity supporting all artists and creatives, in particular those from underserved backgrounds and disabled artists

There is a gentle gradient throughout, lowered bar, disabled toilet, modular, removable table system and more, mean that the space isn't just adapted for people with a disability, it's just the norm that every part of it is accessible for all. Our studio space which can house small productions, screenings, workshops and more is accessed via a shallow ramp.

We will continue to fight for accessibility, holding ear defenders under the bar for neuro-divergent patrons, using captions when appropriate and BSL interpreters - indeed our bar staff have all been trained via a bespoke course through Manchester Deaf Centre, to converse about purchases in the venue, with BSL speakers.

53two's theatre space, alongside the bar can be hired as an events space. Parties can be hosted for up to 180 people with live music, DJ's, disco's and more.
