Sociable

Founded in 2008, our project was founded and is managed by disabled people with lived experiences of exlcusion. Our aim at Sociable is to create inclusive social and leisure opportunities for disabled people aged 16 and over. As a group we our Sociable project meets regulary at The Ark in Liverpool 7, which has been our home since we opened in 2008.

​We have had some wonderful times over the years and created lots of memories. This of course was until the pandemic hit our shores in March 2020, which meant our project was suspended for 18 months. When we re-opened in September 2021 it was clear the pandemic had a devastating impact with attendances being significantly reduced. This was the trend until the summer of 2023 and it was then we decided to take a hiatus and to evaluate the situation and at present, our project at The Ark is currently suspended.

Digital Magazine

In 2022 we introduced our a digitial magazine project, at present we create one issue per year. We are always looking for individuals and organisations to get involved with their articles.

Sociable Dinner Club

In the final months of 2024 however, we will be launching our new initiative, i.e. Sociable Dinner Club, this will allow us to create group dining experiences at various restaurants across Liverpool. Our dining experiences have always been our most popular and enjoyable activities and we are delighted to be able to create more dining opportunities.
